Winter Dishes Surge Over Autumn Recipes Despite Canada’s Warmer Autumn

While fall has saw warmer-than-normal temperatures across the country, Canadians are still preparing for the colder weather when it comes to dinnertime planning.

A recent analysis of Google searches by meal-box delivery company, Chefs Plate, shows ‘autumn recipes’ are down 100% in the past week as searches for ‘winter meals’ surge. Searches for ‘hearty winter meals’, ‘winter meals ideas’ and ‘easy winter meals’ have all been on Google search breakout in the last 90 days.

With a growing interest in traditional recipes and hearty pies and soups, this shows that Canadians are shifting towards cozy, seasonal flavors as fall temperatures start to drop ahead of the winter season.
