Montserrat Utilities Limited is seeking to recruit an Engineering Consultant to join its technical team within the Electricity Division.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
o Conduct ongoing assessments of the generation, transmission and distribution systems and make recommendations for innovative improvements.
o Ensure and programme comprehensive skills and knowledge transfer to applicable supervised staff, especially the trainee engineers and senior technical staff.
o Review and adjust as required operations and maintenance procedures and priorities, relevant to Montserrat power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
o Develop and implement viable strategies in energy production and distribution.
o Analyse and upgrade existing systems, ensuring technological and operational advancements and make recommendation for system improvement or replacement.
o Collaborate with various· stakeholders for policy development, compliance, and sustainable practices.
o Develop, implement and monitor adherence to and effectiveness of a fit for purpose health and safety policy and action plan.
Candidate should possess:
Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
At least 10 years’ experience in the energy sector, including expertise in renewable energy and advanced networked systems.
The successful candidate should have:
Proficiency in the use of computer programs necessary for word processing, data bases, project management, content presentation, social media tools and applicable control and data acquisition and management systems.
Extensive knowledge of and experience with utility scale diesel generators, electricity generation, transmission and distribution systems of utility service operations, particularly energy and especially within the context of Small Island Developing States or relatable contexts.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay package will be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Term of Engagement: Contractual
Salary and Allowances are subject to statutory deductions as applicable under the laws of Montserrat.
