Today on The International: Conversations That Matter, host Jeevan A. Robinson speaks with Jeff Alford, President and CEO of The Cosmetic Brands Of North America (The CBON Group) on how COVID-19 can be caught from other areas of an individual's face - a person's T-Zone.

“Most viruses – and the novel coronavirus in particular – enter the body through a person’s T-zone,” explains Jeff. The T-zone is the part of your face that encompasses the forehead, eyes, nose, lips, mouth, and chin. Shaped roughly like the letter “T”, this space hosts the face’s various orifices and mucus membranes: all of them being organic entryways for pathogens. While COVID-19 was originally thought to be purely a respiratory virus, people have also been infected through the surfaces of their eyeballs, making the T-zone a biological beachhead for a viral invasion.

Listen to The International: Conversations That Matter below, with President of The Cosmetic Brands Of North America, Jeff Alford giving key information on how you can further protect yourself by following rules of not touching your T-zone to avoid possible COVID-19 infection.
