Soca Royalty to Headline Hookie Weekend 2023

Hookie Weekend, the premier Caribbean music and cultural festival in the DMV, will proudly feature an extraordinary lineup of Soca music Royalty for its highly anticipated 2023 edition. The 5 day, 6 event extravaganza, known for its vibrant atmosphere and electrifying performances, will take place from June 15^th to 19^th at venues across the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Produced by HookieLife Entertainment, Hookie Weekend has consistently been at the forefront of showcasing the best of Caribbean music and culture, and this year is no exception. With an unwavering commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences, the organizers are thrilled to present a dynamic roster of Soca Royalty that will captivate the festival’s patrons from around the world.

The action for Hookie Weekend begins on Thursday June 15^th with the kick-off party ‘Release Therapy’ which takes place at the famous Karma DC and features Soca Prince Erphaan Alves known for his hit songs ‘Overdue’, ‘Pick A Side’, ‘No Habla’ and ‘In Your Eyes’.

Following ‘Release Therapy’ will be the weekend’s beloved signature event ‘Hookie DC’ on Friday June 16th at the Rosecroft Raceway. For 2023 the event is themed ‘Hookie DC Cloud 9’.

The premium Caribbean pool party concept is this year headlined by Bunji Garlin. The 2023 T&T Road March King will fire up Hookie DC with his immense catalogue of music which include his smashes ‘Hard Fete’, ‘Bottle’, ‘The Struggle’, ‘Differentology’ and ‘Blaze Di Fire’.

Joining the Viking at Hookie DC are 3X International Soca Monarch, Voice and the man synonymous with the 2023 event theme, Mr ‘Cloud 9’ himself, Lyrikal.

In addition to these exceptional headliners, Hookie Weekend 2023 will feature a diverse line-up of talented DJs, hype-men, vendors & artisans, as well as creatively themed J’ouvert & Mas events, ensuring a multi-dimensional experience for attendees that celebrates the rich tapestry of Caribbean culture.
