Veteran deejay, Wayne ' Captain Barkey' Hamilton was shot and killed outside a Bronx motel in New York on Saturday along with a female companion, Tracy Bennett.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), Captain Barkey and 38-year-old Tracy Bennett were fatally shot by Bennett's ex-boyfriend at the Holiday Motel.
"Don't do it! Don't do it!" the woman wailed, according to witnesses, before the shooter gunned her down outside the Holiday Motel.
The execution-like slayings occurred after the gunman approached the unidentified man outside the motel office near Co-Op City around 3:15 a.m., sources and witnesses said.
The shooter pumped several shots into the man as he tried to flee, witnesses said. The suspect then turned his pistol on a woman standing near a parked Toyota Camry, its motor still running.
"I looked out my window and saw a lady standing there," said Ricky Gugliotta, who was staying in a nearby room with some friends celebrating a pal's birthday.
"She was begging him not to shoot her, but then he shot her twice and she went down."
