Saint Lucia - Six time Grammy winner and multi-Platinum artist John Legend will be the headline act for this year's Saint Lucia Jazz Festival as they celebrate 20 years.Legend is a huge international star who carries multiple titles of singer, songwriter and pianist. His success has seen him shift over five million albums around the world. His fame is familiar to hits such as '"Used to Love U," "So High," "Save Room," "Heaven," "Another Again". Legend's primary selling point is that he has this uncanny ability to combine the soul music of years gone by with the modern day sound.
The St Lucia Jazz Festival is renowned for having some the world's top artist on the bill and thsi year promise sto be no different. The Festival will run from April 30 to May 8, 2011.
The festival is set to feature multiple complimentary daily shows of acoustic, new age, jazz, soul, reggae, and R&B sounds held in a variety of locations and venues around the island, including Jazz on the Square in Castries and Fond d'Or Jazz in Dennery. Headliners will perform at the main stage performances which will be held at Pigeon Island National Park and Gaiety in Rodney Bay, the island's epicenter of musical entertainment, featuring local clubs, lounges and restaurants.
