MY DEAR GOOD PEOPLE,

Together, we've walked down a long and difficult road.

When we entered office in 2004, the Treasury was Bankrupt and the government was increasingly unable to provide adequate service for its citizens and residents. People were protesting in the streets because they couldn't get basic goods. There were few scholarships. Our schools were in shambles. Crime was higher. People were suffering!

Then, we faced more challenges in 2009, we lost our single largest private sector employer, Allen Stanford. Thousands lost their jobs... then, there was the worst global economic crisis since the Great Depression.

Given these conditions, most governments would've gone into crisis. Others have laid off workers, cut pensions. Cut salaries. Not us. During the worst global economic crisis since the Great Depression, we STOOD STRONG for ANTIGUANS AND BARBUDANS. We protected government jobs. Pensions and Benefits. This, my good people, is real LEADERSHIP and why LEADERSHIP MATTERS!

What else have we done? While the global economic crisis raged, we expanded school meals. We expanded scholarships. We expanded school uniforms. And, now, because of our sound fiscal management, we're giving YOU a tax cut. Our tax cut does not favor the rich and powerful, our equitable tax plan is designed to put more money in the pockets of hard working Antiguan and Barbudan families.

I am so proud to say that we have undergone an education revolution in this country. For the first time in our history, we now have UNIVERSAL SECONDARY EDUCATION. Everyone can get the secondary education they need to advance in our society and in the world.

We have greatly expanded the number of scholarships available to the young people of this country. We've instituted school meals and school uniforms. And, we're expanding school meals every year. We have kept the economy on a steady path for the past ten years. We're building new schools like Five Islands Secondary School. We're expanding access to the Internet and putting first class modern technology at the fingertips of ordinary men and women, boys and girls. This is what a caring government does. This is what a government that cares about our young people and the next generation does. This is LEADERSHIP, my good people-- and it's why LEADERSHIP MATTERS

My good people, Elections are CHOICES. As you know, we're not perfect. Nobody is perfect but almighty God.

But this election is significant in our national history. This election is a distinct choice between two options, a UPP that has stood strong for you during difficult economic times and an ALP that lacks the moral compass to lead this country!

All Antiguans & Barbudans must ask themselves, in difficult times, is it really worth bringing back the same old ALP, is it worth taking a chance on Gaston Browne, Asot Michael, Molwyn Joseph, Cutie Benjamin, Robin Yearwood, Chet Greene and Lester Bird? Your future demands much much more.

Yes – memories may fade with time, but the governance of this twin-island state is too important for its citizens and residents to forget the unsatisfactory results of the last ALP administration. We can never forget that dark period in our national history. We must never forget. And we must never go back.

As a result of UPP governance, Antigua and Barbuda is now poised to move into a new era filled with unprecedented hope and glorious expectations. The foundation stones have been painstakingly, intelligently and intellectually laid.

My good people, your UPP government has delivered Antigua and Barbuda from the depths of disgrace and dishonor to a position of prominence beyond our expectations. We have rebuilt this country from decades of ALP mismanagement.

My good people, Elections are tomorrow and I need you to make the right choice. Make that choice for YOUR Future. Your Children’s Future. The Future of Antigua and Barbuda.

This is OUR country. This is OUR Future. Tomorrow, Let's keep it in SAFE HANDS!
LEADERSHIP MATTERS!!!
UPP! NOW! MORE THAN EVER!
Thank you very much.
And may God Bless us all and Antigua and Barbuda.
