Air Canada Rouge made its inaugural flight to Montego Bay, Jamaica on November 1.

The first flight, which originated in Toronto, touched down at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay on Friday, welcomed by reggae and mento bands.

The Air Canada Rouge flights will be arriving daily in Jamaica, operated on Boeing 767 planes.

Air Canada Rouge also operates service to Kingston; it began service to Norman Manley International Airport in July.

Earlier this year, Michael Friisdhal, president and CEO of Air Canada Leisure, said the Kingston and Montego Bay service would increase capacity from Toronto by 56 percent.

Rouge is Air Canada's new leisure carrier.
