A 39 year old Dominican woman, Dorothy Prince, living in Antigua, has died from gunshot wounds suffered over the weekend after four armed robbers shot her in the stomach and hand whilst robbing robbing Dee's 24 Hour Service Station located at the junction of Old Parham Road and Sir George Walter Highway.

The unfortunate shooting incident took place at around 9:15 pm on Friday, 17th February. Media reports indicate that the armed robbers drove up to the gas station and attacked the attendants on duty, stealing their money bags.

According to Antigua's Observer News, an eyewitness is reported that the thugs did not immediately leave the scene but rather they held the attendants at gunpoint after they stole their money bags. The eyewitness stated that Prince was shot after she showed signs of being frightened.

She was later transported to Antigua's Mount St John's Medical Centre where she underwent emergency surgery but she later succumbed to her wounds and passed away Saturday night.
