Reno Wilson was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up with a blues pianist father and an opera singer mother, who was a first generation Caribbean-American. Reno's grandparents, James and Adelaide London, who were originally from Freetown migrated to the USA in the 1920's and settled in the East Flatbush area of Brooklyn commonly known as "Little West Indies."

Reno attended the notable High School of Performing Arts in New York. He then co-starred on the legendary television series, "The Cosby Show', as 'Theo Huxtable's' best friend, 'Howard'. Reno Wilson has since starred and guest-starred in dozens of television series, including "Heist"; Blind Justice"; and the critically acclaimed series, "The Hoop Life." He can also be seen in the feature film "Bolden," playing the legendary jazz icon Louis Armstrong.

Reno's other movie credits include "Mighty Joe Young"; "Rough Draft"; "Fallen" and "White Hype." He is also an accomplished voiceover artist who, most notably, gave voice to the Decepticon "Frenzy" in the film Transformers";The Autobot, "Mudflap" in "Transformers 2"; and the Autobot "Brains" in "Transformers 3."

He is very popular for his voice in popular video games like Mad World, Final Fantasy XIII, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, Operation Flashpoint: Red River, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and Lightning Return: Final Fantasy XIII. He gave his voice for character Killer Bee in Naruto series and Sazh Katzroy in Final Fantasy series. His latest work in video games was Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII which came out in the year 2014.

Reno landed his most recent role as police officer Carl McMillan on the successful CBS sitcom Mike and Molly.
