Vybz Kartel Expected To Be Charged With Five Additional Murders

Reports coming out of Jamaica suggest that Vybz Kartel may be receiving additional charges in connection with another five murders.

The popular dancehall artiste is already facing charges for two murders, towards which he has so far been refused bail since his arrest in September.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Branch in Jamaica, Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, said probes carried out by detectives have implicated the artiste in five additional murders that took place in the Corporate Area and St Catherine. Additional charges are expected to be filed soon against Kartel.

The Assistant Commissioner also stated that detectives are also pursuing other members of the entertainment industry in relation to alleged criminal offences.
