Montserrat Arts Council Invites Musicians to Take Part in Carnival 2019 Jingle Competition

The Montserrat Arts Council (MAC) is inviting musicians on Montserrat and in the Diaspora to enter their ‘Carnival 2019 Jingle Competition’, for the chance to win $500 in cash.

The winner of the ‘Carnival 2019 Jingle Competition’ will have the honour of being the producer of the jingle that will be used in the run up to carnival and during carnival. This jingle will be used to promote all of MAC’s festivities.

Montserrat residents and those in the Diaspora will also be able to choose their favourite by voting online for the People’s Choice.

“It’s important to us that the jingle not only represents the carnival, but also the island. We’re excited to hear what local and international musicians come up with for the ‘Carnival 2019 Jingle Competition’ and to provide a platform for them to really flex their talent and creativity,” said Mr. Kenneth Silcott, Director of MAC.
