Guyanese designer introduces her range of “wearable art” to men and women in London.

A week after the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee, London will be reminded of the talent within the Commonwealth when Guyanese fashion designer, Donna Ramsammy James hosts her first ever UK fashion show.

Described as “wearable art”, Shape Custom Creations launches a bespoke line for the UK on Sunday 10 June 2012, at 2.30pm at Drift Bar, a stunning cocktail bar in London’s Liverpool Street area. Afrika Milele (Africa Forever): Caribbean Footprints is a specifically adapted for the UK version of the current SHAPE collection Afrika Milele – a collection which typifies the elegance of her exclusive line of elegant ladies’ and men’s wear (for all shapes and sizes) designed to express “the softness of Asia, the depth of Africa, and the colour of the Caribbean.

This is the perfect way to unwind after your Sunday lunch, and the event will feature over 100 unique outfits and give Londoners, for the first time an opportunity to view and buy the one of a kind pieces. This show is special for the company whose designer has previously done shows in Anguilla, New York, Jamaica, Barbados, Florida and more.

With this in mind, Donna Ramsammy James said, "After a great reception at shows in North America, South America and the Caribbean I am looking forward to introducing a UK audience to unique, vibrant, affordable designer Caribbean fashion. Even when the sun sets on the UK summer, London will be able to keep a piece of the Caribbean with them in their wardrobes.”
