MNI Alive - A Global Caribbean Community

Photos Of The Montserrat Association Toronto 37th Anniversary Dinner & Dance

montserrat association danceThe Montserrat Association of Toronto, Canada, held its annual dinner and dance on Saturday, May 26. The event, as is customary, was very well patronised by the Montserrat community who live in and around the Toronto area with the hall filled to capacity for what has become a very much anticipated gathering.

It is at events such as these where the vast Montserrat Diaspora population who live in the Toronto area often come together in fellowship under a social banner to raise funds for carrying out their activities on behalf of the Montserrat community. The dinner and dance also recognised the achievements of Montserrat nationals, or children of Montserrat nationals who are doing well for themselves and making a positive contribution to the community.

MNI Alive was on hand and captured images of the event and the many Montserratians who were in attendance. Additionally we also managed to bump into a legendary Montserrat calypsonian, Ishmael "Cutter' Skerritt. See the images below and also click on the play button immediately below to hear Cutter.
