Nicki Minaj's Dad Says Abuse Allegations Exaggerated

Speaking recently during a television interview, rap star Nicki Minaj, alleged that her dad had anger problems and was very abusive towards her mother. Responding to the allegations, Nicki's Dad has stated that he is heartbroken by her allegations. 

Speaking to ABC’s Nightline programme, Nicki stated, “My father was abusive. We were afraid for my mother's life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst, he would threaten to kill her.” 

She further stated, “I wanted to kill my dad. I used to wish he was dead."

Minaj's Dad has called the statements exaggerated. He admitted to having anger issues but insists it never reached the point as described.

Nicki has previously spoken out about her Dad's alleged abuse but this is the first time he has come forward to respond.
