John E Wyke And Herman 'Cupid' Francis Speak With Basil Chambers On Plans Thus Far For Montserrat's Festival 50

It was thrilling to listen to ZJB Radio yesterday and hear three men who are working tirelessly to ensure that Montserrat's Festival 50 comes off as a spectacular event. The three men being referred to are Festival Chairman, Mr John E Wyke, Coordinator or Culture, Mr Herman 'Cupid' Francis and ZJB Radio on air personality Mr Basil Chambers.

Both men joined Basil on his radio programme for a chat about the plans thus far for Festival 50, and from all that was expressed, they have done a commendable task of allaying many of the concerns that were being expressed about the planning thus far for Festival 50 on Montserrat in December.

I mentioned Basil Chambers, as for years, via his morning slot on ZJB Radio, he has been a front runner in helping to create that feeling of Festival through his music selections and interactions with his listening audience. Additionally, his hosting of shows throughout the actual Festival have added an entertaining and humourous element to most events.

For those who missed the interview, MNI Alive obtained a copy of the the discussion and have published it for Montserratians and friends of Montserrat to listen in and share their comments on plans thus far for Festival 50.
