Caribbean Tourism Organisation Accepts MNI Alive's Proposal To Market Montserrat's Festival 50

The Caribbean Tourism Organisation, whose headquarters are based in Barbados, have accepted a proposal submitted earlier this year by MNI Alive to assist with the marketing and promotion of Montserrat's 50th Festival Anniversary.
The proposal, compiled and submitted by MNI Alive's Editor-in-Chief, Jeevan Robinson, was aimed primarily at seeking the CTO's assistance towards being a partner in promoting the milestone of Montserrat's 50th Festival Anniversary in the same manner that the CTO promotes the various key activities of many of the neighbouring Caribbean islands.
With the acceptance of the proposal as submitted by MNI Alive, the CTO have thus agreed to do their part in helping to ensure that Montserrat's 50th Festival Anniversary is promoted to their vast international network.
According to Editor-in-Chief Robinson, there were four pillars upon which he based his proposal to the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, which are as follows:

MNI Alive & CTO working together and promoting 'Destination 50: The Year of Montserrat': This idea is concerned with drumming up interest from early in the year about Montserrat's 50th, both for Montserratians abroad but mainly for our Caribbean brothers and sisters and also other tourists around the world that CTO markets to. This is primarily to let none Montserratians be aware that Montserrat is open for business and leisure, and is the place to be in this December 2012. CTO will be an official partner with MNI Alive, where CTO will agree to use their wide and varied connections internationally - via events, email campaigns, conferences and other such mediums to promote Montserrat's 50th.

Travel Discounts from all the major airlines servicing the Caribbean from the Diaspora, both from the UK, USA & Canada, seeking to have them consider offering some form of a discount, however much, in recognition of Montserrat's 50th and for Montserratians and other visitors wanting to come to the island.

Working relationship with CTO to carry both banners and other promotions throughout the year, to be placed on the CTO's website that will direct people to the required information about Montserrat's 50th Anniversary.

A proclamation from CTO endorsing 2012 as 'Destination 50: The Year of Montserrat'.
This independent proposal between MNI Alive and CTO will be continual right through until Montserrat's Festival in December, 2012.
Actions on this proposal will commence with Montserrat's Festival 50 being heralded at Caribbean Week, New York, which kicked off on Sunday, June 4th.
