LIAT To Renew Its Fleet Of Aircraft But May Not Be Dash-8 Turboprops

Barbados Police Find Marijuana In Orange Shipment From Jamaica

Marijuana Police in Barbados are reporting the discovery of marijuana in oranges suspected to be shipped from Jamaica.  According to nationnews.com, 41 packages of marijuana with an estimated street value of B$800,000 or US$400,000 were discovered on Saturday in shipments of oranges believed to be imported from Jamaica.

shanique myrieAfter making headlines last year with claims that she had been physically and verbally abused by immigration officials at the Grantley Adams International Airport, Jamaican, Shanique Myrie, is demanding that Barbados pay.  She wants Barbados to pay for the humiliation and prejudice she claims to have suffered at the hands of airport officials on her arrival in Barbados on March 14, 2011 to the tune of JAM$118 000 in special damages.

Clico Barbados Demands US$600 Million From Trinidad Government
