The Trinidad and Tobago government Wednesday said that the British defence firm, BAE Systems, had agreed to pay TT$1.382 billion (One TT dollar = US$0.16 cents) to settle a two year dispute over the cancellation of a multi-million dollar contract for three offshore patrol vessels (OPV).

Travellers coming to Montserrat during the Christmas season will benefit from an extended ferry service to the island from Antigua. The service will operate on December 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and then from December 10 to January 12, 2013. The service will not operate on Christmas Day (Tuesday December 25). The current ferry service which is available on www.visitmontserrat.com/By_Sea will continue its three (3) day schedule between the islands until November 30 with the new schedule taking effect from December 1, 2012.
